Food packaging machinery innovation

A perfect example of innovation is the launch of our IPS-8BT-H high speed stand-up pouch filling machine. Demand for pouch and doypack packaging is fast increasing in the food industry, along with sectors including medical and healthware. Having had great success with our IPS-8BT machine, to provide a high speed solution for businesses looking to expand and considerably increase their output.

With our latest IPS-8BT-H model, we have maintained the same footprint as our original stand-up pouch machine, whilst finding ways to double packaging output and simplify the design of the machine to require fewer parts, reducing maintenance costs.

Our key goal as a business is to assist our customers in leveling up their packaging processes to achieve or even succeed their own goals, and our high speed stand-up pouch filling machine offers a range of important businesses to small and medium sized businesses looking to grow, including:

PPMA Total Show 2022

This year’s PPMA Total Show at the NEC, Birmingham, provided the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our upgraded IPS-8BT-H high speed pouch flling machine. Exhibiting at the UK’s largest processing and packaging exhibition allowed us to introduce our new machine, along with a selection of our most popular form fill seal and flow wrapping machines.

The event was a great success, allowing us to introduce our products to many potential customers as well as connecting with existing customers. We were very happy to make multiple sales at the event.

IntegraJet ink jet systems

Alongside our packaging machinery, we also showcased our IntegraJet ink jet systems at the PPMA Show. Designed with the customer in mind, our IntegraJet printing equipment is designed for integration without packaging machines, allowing for date and batch code printing to be completed on a single packaging line, and featuring a new and improved, customer friendly inkjet software system.

A further innovation from our range of IntegraJet products is our new solvent based ink, IntegraInk IT2961, which is designed specifically to work with our ink jet systems and adhere to a wide range of packaging substrates to suit each customer’s unique packaging requirements.

Innovation driving BV Dairy forward

One of our biggest successes of the last year was seeing BV Dairy expand their operations by diversifying their range of packaging formats in response to the changing demands of their customers, and the consumer market.  

Having seen eating habits change considerably during the pandemic, BV Dairy sought to innovate and contacted Intamac for assistance at short notice. We quickly supplied an IPS 420 Mini SS vertical form fill and seal machine, integrated with IntegraJet ink jet system, allowing for BV Dairy to package a wide range of single serve dairy products in straight cut pillow pack packaging. 

Following the installation of the VFFS machine in late December 2021, BV Dairy have been able to run the new packaging line extensively to meet demand way beyond expectations, heping the company to grow quickly and fulfil fast increasing orders.
